Static phase converters are intended for applications requiring limited starting and
running torque. Output HP is limited to approximately 70% of motor nameplate rating.
Typical applications for static phase converters include milling machines, clutch drive
lathes, drill presses, dish washers, and dough mixers, where the duty cycle can be
reduced. Special static converters can be supplied for use with two motors.
The above table is presented as a "Class 1" general
guide only. "Converter "Class" refers to the size of converter versus load.
Static phase converters are only available for Class 1 application. The converter must be
matched with the specific motor HP shown in the table above. Selecting a larger converter
than the HP rating of the motor in an attempt to gain output HP is not permitted.
For additional information on converter Class, preview "General Information".
Consult Electram to properly size a
converter for your specific application.
