PhaseMAXX (T) Series (Triple Rated) Rotary Phase Converters are supplied with built in magnetic starter, overload protection, and Hand/Off/Auto selector or Stop/Start pushbuttons controls. These converters can operate single or multiple motors, as well as resistive loads. The KVA capability for resistive loads is 1.3 times the (Largest HP) rating. Triple Rated rotary phase converters are ideally suited for grain handling, woodworking equipment, hoists, printing machines, irrigation pivots, air conditioners, and machine tools. Motors connected to Triple Rated rotary phase converters will develop full rated HP.

The above table is presented as a  "Class 1"   general guide only. Converter "Class" refers to the size of converter versus load. For additional information on converter Class, preview "General Information".

When price-comparing converters between different manufacturers, especially compare the HP and Frame size of the converter.

Soft-start magnetic starter options are now available for (T) series converters. See soft-start.htm for more information about this great feature!

Looking to upgrade your existing converter?

Triple rated phase converters can be parallel connected to your existing bus. No need to remove your old (too small?) converter with replacement by a larger unit. Keep your old converter and add a PhaseMAXX module to increase the (combined) size of your converter. We can provide a small component kit that you can install in your pre-existing converter. This component kit includes a timer, two-position selector, and electrical drawings.

Operate one or both converters depending on system load.

You can then operate just your old converter alone (place the selector in position 1), or operate both converters at the same time (place the selector in position 2). With the selector in position 2, the first converter will start with the application of power, followed by automatic startup of the second converter a few seconds later.

Easy as 1, 2, (three)?.

Consult Electram to properly size a converter for your specific application.
