The PhaseMAXX (S) Series (Single Rated) rotary phase
converters are designed to handle one motor of rated HP only. They are equipped with
controls which allow both converter and motor to operate from a common single phase
disconnect. The control circuit of the phase converter must be interconnected with the
load control circuit in accordance with supplied drawings. Closing the load control
circuit will start the converter first, followed by automatic startup of the load several
seconds later. Single Rated rotary phase converters are equipped with converter magnetic
starter and overload, and will allow one motor to develop full rated HP.
(S) series converters include proprietary circuitry that enables the
converter to provide increased motor starting torque for hard to start applications.
Unlike any other make of converter, the PhaseMAXX (S) series converter can
start motors driving high-inertia loads even where the load motor frame size equals that
of the converter.
The above table is presented as a "Class 1" general
guide only. Converter "Class" refers to the size of converter versus load. For
additional information on converter Class, preview "General Information".

converter for your specific application.
