Oilfield Static Converters  (Type OSC)

OSC static phase converters are supplied in NEMA 3 enclosures and are primarily intended for oil well pumping motors. These converters are a complete power system which includes main breaker or main fusible disconnect, load magnetic starter with overload protection, H/O/A selector, time delay start sequence, provision for pressure switch and surge suppresser.

Models D-44 are equipped with Main Fusible Disconnect complete with time delay fuses.

Models B-44 are equipped with Main Breaker.

OSC static phase converters will allow an electric motor to develop 70% of rated horsepower. These converters must be matched to motor HP, and are only available for Class 1 application. EG: Calculated load = 30 HP, Model OSC40D-44 connected to a 40/30/20 triple rate motor will provide 28/21/14 HP.

OSC Static phase converter models suffix "44" are rated 480v 1 phase input / 480v 3 phase output.

Options can include a heating element with 0(C) deg. thermostat.
